Class Registration

You may register and pay for classes online or stop by Artistry On Main and register in person. To register for a class just click the Pay Now button below the class desired and complete the required information on the PayPal page. Full payment is required at time of registration for all classes. 

Note: Class size is limited and if closed your payment will be fully refunded. Full refunds for a cancellation by the student requires 48 hour notice prior to the first class session.  

Online payments use PayPal but you do NOT need a PayPal account in order register and pay for a class online.   All classes are held at the Artistry’s Classroom (rear entrance) unless noted otherwise.

The Craft of Making Poetry by Mark DeFoe – Five sessions, (four Thursdays, one Wednesday) March 7, 14, 21, 27, April 4 from 6 to 8 pm.  $30, An introductory class in the writing of poetry, from the formal to open or free verse. The class will encourage developing skills in poetry basics and focus on individual expression through the use of articulate, powerful and creative language. To discover the possibilities of poetry and to enhance their own work, students will explore examples of classic and contemporary poetry. 

Minimum of 4 Students; Maximum of 15 Students.

The Art of Pruning Trees by Tom Lynch – One Session, Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (with an hour break for lunch). $35 which includes all materials. Pruning is both a skill and an art. Knowing when and how to prune involves skill. Knowing where to cut for optimum fruitfulness and beauty of a plant is the art. In these classes we will be covering all those necessary skills needed to prune effectively, including choice of tools. Discussions of different types of fruiting trees and shrubs and when to prune will be covered. The first half of the class will a discussion of pruning theory and a general question and answer period. Weather permitting, the second half of the class will involve hands-on experience in the field.

Beginning Stained Glass (Lead Came Method) by Rich Clemens – Four Sessions, Tuesdays, April 2, 9, 16, 23, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. $95 which includes all materials. Students will learn how to cut glass, grind glass, stretch, cut and form lead came, then solder their work of art. It takes about 12 hours to complete a small project (approximately 35 square inches) of the student’s selection/design. As a class, they will also discuss the Tiffany method of creating stained glass panels. Students must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this class and will be required to sign a hold harmless agreement.

Weave a Seat by Tom Lynch – One Session, Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. $45 plus the cost of desired materials. Whether you bring your own chair or buy a chair or stool frame from Tom, weaving your own chair bottom is fun and rewarding. Anyone can weave a seat.  All ages are welcome.  There will be a choice of materials for weaving, including Shaker Tape, leather and hickory bark. STUDENTS MUST CONTACT THE INSTRUCTOR ahead of class to arrange for their choice of projects and weaving materials (304) 642-5908.
