Class Registration

You may register and pay for classes online or stop by Artistry On Main and register in person. To register for a class just click the Pay Now button below the class desired and complete the required information on the PayPal page.  

Note: Class size is limited and if closed your payment will be fully refunded. Full refunds for a cancellation by the student requires 48 hour notice prior to the first class session.  

Online payments use PayPal but you do NOT need a PayPal account in order register and pay for a class online.   All classes are held at the Artistry’s Classroom (rear entrance) unless noted otherwise.

Rug Loom Weaving  by Trina Beall - One Session, Saturday July 15, 2017 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. $50 which includes a loom.  In this class you will begin making a beautiful loom rug. The loom is 39” x 27" and is yours to keep for making additional rugs, plus you are given an instructional DVD. You will need to provide your own cotton like fabric and scissors; all other materials are included in the class cost. 15 yards of fabric is needed to complete the rug (about 3 full flat bed sheets) and I like to use old sheets or left over material from projects. Class lasts 3-4 hours. See image of a completed rug here. Minimum 4 students; Maximum 10 students.

Fabric Dyeing for the Beginner by Suzan Morgan - One session, Saturday July 22 2017, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm (includes a break from noon to 1pm to allow the dye to set in the fabric). $30 plus $35 material fee.  Students will learn Low Water Immersion Dyeing.  Each student will dye 12 half-yards of quilter's muslin using fiber reactive dyes. Dyes are permanent and will not bleed after the process is completed. Students will dye 3 yards of gradated (light to dark) fabrics as well as 3 yards of one color fading into a second color and will choose their own color scheme.  Age 16 and up — maximum of 4 students.  All materials provided.  Students will do the final washout at home.  Wear clothes that may become stained.

Children’s Mini Art Camp by Heidi Thomspon, local artist and art teacher - four sessions Monday thru Thursday July 24 - 27, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm only $20 per child for all four days! This exciting four-day mini camp will highlight some of the fabulous artists of West Virginia, including Charley Harper!  Young artists will explore the media and techniques of printmaking, collage, and pottery while learning about the art of our great state!  Ages 6-12 with a limit of 12 students. This offering has been made possible with funding provided by the Upshur Arts Alliance. Sorry, the Art Camp is full and is now closed.
